Retirement planning.

From your first 401(k) contribution to your last paycheck: strategies that turn a lifetime of savings into income you can actually live on.

Retirement isn't a finish line. It's the start of a chapter that might run 30 years, and the planning you do today is what makes that chapter feel like freedom instead of anxiety. We've spent two decades helping families build retirement plans that actually hold up when life throws something unexpected.

What we plan around.

Every retirement plan we build answers the same three questions: What will you spend? Where will the money come from? And what happens when something changes? Markets, health, family: none of it stays still. Your plan can't either.

Here's what's typically on the table:

  • 401(k), 403(b), IRA, and Roth IRA strategies: contribution sequencing, employer match optimization, conversion ladders.
  • Social Security claiming analysis: when to file, how spousal benefits stack, the math behind delaying.
  • Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) planning: sequence withdrawals to minimize tax drag.
  • Pension & annuity income coordination: pulling everything into a single, intentional income stream.
  • Tax-efficient withdrawal sequencing: taxable, tax-deferred, tax-free buckets, drawn in the right order.

A plan you can see and shape.

Most retirement plans we see from other firms look like a 60-page PDF nobody reads. We do it differently. Using Retirement Analyzer planning software, we build your strategy interactively, modeling real scenarios together, testing the "what if" questions, and adjusting the numbers right in front of you. You get secure online access to your own plan, so it stays a living, evolving picture of where you stand rather than a document that goes stale in a drawer.

The plan isn't the document. The plan is the conversation you and I keep having every year as your life changes.Tony Burton

That's why we meet at least once a year, twice if anything significant has changed. Markets shift. Tax law shifts. Your goals shift. The plan has to keep up.

Who we work with.

Our retirement-focused clients usually fall into one of three groups:

1. Pre-retirees in their final 10 years of work

This is the most important window, and the one where the biggest mistakes get made. Tax efficiency, asset positioning, and risk reduction need to be deliberate.

2. Newly-retired or recently transitioned clients

The first 24 months of retirement is where the income strategy gets stress-tested. We help you build the paycheck.

3. Long-time clients in distribution

The plan needs to evolve. RMDs, healthcare, estate transitions: we stay close.

Let's talk about your next chapter.

A first conversation costs nothing. We'll listen, ask a few questions, and give you an honest read.
